OUR CARVING SESSIONS WITH IAN NORBURY THE WEEKENDS OF OCTOBER 17-19 AND OCTOBER 23-25 WERE A SMASHING SUCCESS!!!  EVERYONE WHO TOOK HIS CLASS THOUGHT HE WAS A WONDERFUL TEACHER AND LEARNED MANY WONDER FUL CARVING TECHNIQUES.  THANKS, IAN!

JOIN US SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 7, FOR OUR ANNUAL TURN FOR TROOPS PEN-TURNING WORKSHOP.  BRING IN ANY PREVIOUSLY TURNED PENS THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO DONATE OR COME JOIN US TO CREATE PENS ON SATURDAY.  ALL OF THE DONATED PENS WILL BE SENT TO OUR TROOPS IN AFGHANISTAN AND IRAQ.

NEW! Drop-In Relief Carving Workshops

Drop-In Relief Carving with John--a project-based course where you get to work on the relief-carving project you want to work on--Spanish Colonial Furniture, Wood Spirits, Walking Sticks, etc.  John will be there to help you with any design, carving, or tool problems.  This is not for beginners.  A previous relief-carving course at Woodcraft or one of the area colleges is required.  The workshop will be offered monthly on Fridays:  July 10, August 7, September 11, October 9, November 13, and December 11.  Each workshop meets from 10am-1pm, The 3-hour session is only $60.00.  Space is limited so call ahead to assure a spot--505-342-9663.

SHARPENING SERVICES

We now offer in-store sharpening services at Woodcraft.  Bring in your dull saw blades, turning tools, carving tools, and hand tools and get them sharpened like new.  If you're nice, they may even let you watch!!!
