The Making of Woodcraft’s Signature Guitar
Unveiled and On Display
Gary Halliday, an experienced local luthier, started construction of our signature guitar last February (2009). He has now completed the guitar, which is simply an incredible work of art; and, unveiled it to a happy crowd of enthusiasts during our October Anniversary Sale. In addition to revealing the appearance of his masterpiece, Gary also demonstrated its impressive acoustics. He joined some other talented customers and friends in an impromptu blue-grass-infused jam session that entertained the crowd. Our thanks to Larry, George, Rick, and Gary for creating such an extraordinary experience here at Woodcraft.
And now, without further ado, a peek at Woodcraft's Signature Guitar:

Now, you didn't really think I'd show you all of the guitar, did you? If you want to see all of it, including the Spruce Sitka Top, the Manzanita Rosette, the Mahogany Neck, and the Ebony Fingerboard with amazing inlay detail, you'll have to come in. Even though the above photo captures the gorgeous Zebrawood Back, my upload of the photo doesn't do it justice. You need to see the guitar in person. It has been temporarily removed from the display cabinet until we can install a better humidifier. If you'd like to see the guitar, ask a sales associate.
Now, although Gary has completed the guitar, there are still many photos chronicling the process that we have yet to display. Don't forget, we have a scrapbook containing previous photos in our store library.
Finishing Work
In the current installment of photos, Gary finishes the instrument. To view this series, click on the 'Store Photos' tab (on the left side of your screen. You may have to scroll up a bit to see the tab.)
