Introduction to Turning Wood: Bowl and Mallet with Jeremy Nuttall
Saturday, April 19, 9:30am - 5pm
In this hands-on class, Jeremy will be teaching both of the main skills in woodturning; face plate turning and how to create all of the basic spindle shapes and cuts. Students will turn a small bowl and a wooden mallet. This is the perfect class for the beginning turner, or a great way to hone your turning skills. Jeremy is a credentialed teacher and is a premier local woodturner.

Shop Layout & Set-up with Jeremy Nuttall

Jeremy is a professional woodworker with years of shop experience. He will help you get your own shop set up right. Topics like electrical, lighting, tool selection & placement, and dust collection will be covered. After this class, you will be ready to set up an efficient shop. Please bring a note pad and something to write with.
Power Carving: Carve a Rainbow Trout with Adam Panto

If you own a Dremel, Foredom, or other rotary tool this class is for you! Adam will show you how to carve a realistic rainbow trout in this hands-on class. He will cover stock removal techniques, choosing the right burrs for the job, the double-cut technique on the bandsaw for quick stock removal and more!

Wood Gathering for Woodworkers with Adam Panto
Thursday, May 1, 6pm - 8:30pm
Wood is all around us in the form of trees that are often cut down for various reasons. In this lecture/demonstration class, Adam will teach students to process salvaged wood into lumber. He will discuss and demonstrate techniques like proper processing of raw or "green" wood, storing and drying, use of chainsaws and home shop equipment for lumber making and other topics so you can cut your own lumber!

Scroll Saw Techniques with Adam Panto

In this fun, hands-on class Adam starts with the basics. Blade selection, safety, layout, and basic cutting techniques are all covered. Then, he will take you step by step through a project or two you can take home with you!
