Learn the basics of using power tools for woodworking. You'll learn about the router, drill press, dovetail jigs, jointer, planer, band saw, and more as you create a tool box/garden tote/candle box.

Hand tools can take over where your power tools leave off. They'll help you smooth your boards for a top shelf finish, fine tune the fit of your joinery, and create beautiful wood furniture. So get started right.......or get back on track where you left off years ago. In this class you'll learn how to use the 9 basic hand tools: chisel, hand plane, dovetail saw, combination square, marking knife, sliding bevel, router, plane, and hammer. Then learn how to put them to work making the 3 traditional joints used in fine woodworking: the dado, the mortise and tenon, and the dovetail.

"Drunken" Cutting Board

In this class we will make one of Stoane's favorite patterns. With this pattern it's common to hear "how did you do that?" even from a woodworker! We will make 2 cutting boards or 1 board and a set of coasters. Your Choice! The thing we love most about this class is you'll start with not knowing how it's possible and leave with some awesome new skills, confidence and beautiful boards that become conversation pieces.
