Intended as an introduction to pen turning. Students will learn turning safety, tools, and techniques on the lathe and use the bandsaw and drill press to create a beautiful cigar style pen to take home. Materials included.

Students will be introduced to the most common tools in the shop as they go through milling, shaping, and finishing and end up with a beautiful cutting board/serving tray to take home. This is a hands-on experience so safety will be the top priority. Materials included.

Students will learn the basic design elements and methods to use a bowl gouge for clean cutting, how to mount a bowl blank on the lathe, be introduced to additional lathe tools, understand the requirements for a sharp tool, and make a small bowl. The bulk of the class is a hands-on experience. Intro to the Lathe and Spindle Turning class or Instructor Permission is required.
Spend the morning making UV resin art and a small wooden keepsake box to store your new treasure and more! For children 6+. Adult supervision required, no tuition for an accompanying adult. Materials included. Please wear clothing that can get stained/dirty. Long hair needs to be tied back. Bring small keepsakes to preserve in resin if you would like to.
