Wood burning (pyrography) is the art of creating pictures on wood by scorching or burning the wood. You can also write on the wood or enhance other woodworking projects by burning the wood. During this demo you will learn about the different types of tools to use, the importance of wood selection, and how to make a sample board to help you get started in pyrography.
You just completed your project and now you have to apply a finish. What type of finish should you select for the wood you used? Water based or oil based? And how should you apply it? With brush or spray? We will provide information and tips that will help make the completed project more professional looking.

For over 10 years Woodcraft of Toledo has sponsored and promoted a holiday Toys for Kids event. This year we are inviting Children ages 7 to 17 to come in and assemble two toys -- one for themselves and one to donate to the Toys for Kids campaign. Several patterns will be available to choose from. Come in and help us make this a better Christmas for those less fortunate. All supplies are donated by Woodcraft of Toledo. No reservations required.
