Whether you’re a hobbyist or a furnituremaker, you’ll be delighted with the results you get with this all natural wood veneer by Sauers and Company. Zebrawood veneer has nice vertical grains with bold light tan to dark brown contrasting stripes. The contrasting grain can be tightly spaced or slightly wider but always an alternating light and dark contrast. Zebrawood is an African hardwood that is hard, heavy and dense, with a moderately coarse texture and a somewhat porous grain. Zebrawood veneer will accept finishes well. It can be stained but is usually finished with a clear coat that preserves the contrasting characteristics and beauty of the wood’s natural color. Pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) veneer is a type of paper-backed veneer that is a simple and easy alternative for applying veneer without the need for a liquid adhesive. Utilizing 3M™ adhesives, PSA veneer bonds to most smooth surfaces that are dry and free of dust and contaminants.
