Sharpening Systems by Work Sharp
The Work Sharp 3000 wood tool sharpener let’s you monitor stock removal from above with the “see-through” wheel while a large port provides access from underneath. This works exceptionally well for sharpening large turning tools quickly and efficiently while also providing a means to sharpen and hone carving tools, especially the smaller profiles that require a more delicate touch.

crazy sharp knives but be warned
will make your knives crazy sharp but I have only found that you can buy a 3 pack of sharpening paper, I have found that once all my knives have been sharpened once I only need to keep them razor sharp, now I have many course sanding strips and I am all out of the fine sanding strips. buying three when only one is need this gets expensive. Hopefully soon they will sell individual sanding strips insted of a three pack.

Good System but Same Concerns as Others
I read all the reviews and decided I wanted the WS3000 since it seemed to be a good system for my sharpening my shop tools. The knife sharpener was a bonus. I got the system this week and spent an hour getting to know it. I then dove in and sharpened 30 kitchen knives of all types and a couple of pairs of scissors. I was very pleased with the operation of the system and it's ability to sharpen every type of knife we have including those with serrated edges. I have the same concerns as everyone else. The guides that holds the blade at the correct angle are plastic and after 30 knives I have already cut a groove into the bottom guide. The one thing that is tedious about this system is sharpening the point of the knife. The knife is only against one of the guides when the point is against the sharpening surface thus defeating the purpose of the guide, but with a little practice and care you can get a decent edge on the point.

WS3000 Knife Sharpener by WorkSharp
Everything about this is good except for one rather important thing. As you draw a knife or scissors through the sharpener the tip will wander between the two guides which creates a rougher edge on the tip. Also, the abs plastic the blades ride against is pretty easily cut as the knives get sharper which will cause it to wear out prematurely. When it comes to a power knife sharpener, there are definately better options at your local homegoods or outdoor store.
