The anti-kickback design of these industrial quality carbide router bits limits stock feed rate for safer router operations. Solid steel bodies are precision machined to carefully controlled tolerances. A final CNC machine 600 grit wet grind on the K-20 German carbide produces a clean,...

Difficult to use
I found this very difficult to use but this type of joint is inherently difficult anyway. Tried third party set up gig and home made sled. I finally found that the lock miter joint wasn't worth it and used poly glue on a simple miter joint. These days, the poly glues are strong enough for simple miter joints.

Excellent Router Bit!
Forget all the reviews here that under-rate this router bit because it doesn't have instructions! Have you ever seen instructions with any other router bits? Absolutely not. These are designed for professionals and professionals should already know how to use them or should be able to figure out how to use them. I'm a DIYer and it took me about 5 minutes to get this zeroed in and cutting perfectly. One thing you have to keep in mind is if you are using multiple pieces of stock, they all must be exactly the same thickness otherwise, you'll need to constantly re-adjust the bit. It's recommended to run all your stock through a jointer to get them exactly the same thickness. You can then keep running board after board without adjustment. I made dozens of cedar beams with this bit and they turned out perfect.

Set up tip
No instructions with the bit, nor do they sell a set up jig. Found a very helpful site to set up, took about 30 minutes to get it set up after that. Keep in mind it was the first time I ever used a router table so I had that learning curve as well here is the site good luck. http://americanwoodworker.com/blogs/techniques/archive/2008/12/12/Strong-Perfect-Lock-Miter-Joints.aspx

It is a love /hate relation ship
I have been pumped to use this but since I purchased it a couple months ago. Went to set it up and zero instructions from woodcraft is to be found. It was a educated guessing game. All said and done made my own setup block.

Great Product
This is a great tool for mitered corners. Eliminates the need for splines or biscuits on corners. Suggest reading how to setup this tool before use.

Just what I was looking for
Haven't used yet but should do the job

Setup is critical
I used the bit to make a oak shelf. The joint is strong but the setup is critical to getting a closed joint when glueing the two parts together.

This bit works great
This bit is easy to use, set the fence and bit position and make both cuts, couldn't be easier. Minimal setup difficulty, got the cut I needed on the first try. This bit makes a strong joint that I will use often, and for the price it can't be beat!

great bang for the buck
I can't believe an instruction set is not offered with this bit. There are instructions to be easily found for similar bit sets out there. HINT: Use a straight-edge piece of wood stuck to the workpiece with double sided tape to ride the router fence, for the cut where the workpiece lies flat on the router table - this is a must.

Woodriver Bits are great values
This bit makes short work of locking miters. I have purchases almost 30 Woodriver bits over the last two years and every one has met the quality expectations I thought it would.

Excellent tool
I have user this tool making decorative boxes and the joint never needs fasteners, the configuration of the cut ensures that the joint will stay together. I have a tool box made 15 years ago with this tool that has no fasteners and is still going strong

no set up instructions
When you pay good money for a bit it would be nice to have some set-up instructions.
