Striking bands of lighter and darker grain run through the heartwood, creating dramatic contrast. Heavy, dense and stable, this wood has a fine to medium texture. Although its hardness can make it challenging to work, it is surprisingly easy on cutting tools, turns well and finishes beautifully. It also polishes to a deep, natural luster. Common uses include furniture, woodturning and fine specialty items. This slab measures 1-1/4" x 13-1/2" x 47-3/4" and is surfaced on both sides.

Features:

Deep golden orange

Polishes to a deep luster

Turns, glues, stains and finishes well

Native to Tropical America (West Indies, Central and South America)

Specifications:

Thickness: 1-1/4"

Width: 13-1/2"

Length: 47-3/4"

What's Included:

(1) Osage Orange Slab - 1-1/4" x 13-1/2" x 47-3/4"

Notes:

Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the same species.

Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion are possible.
