    Works for some kits

Bought it to do some Zhen bread knives. Bit is too large for those but fits a few other knife kits I bought.

    Helped with Zhen Knife

Bought this to help with completing a Zhen Knife kit I received for Christmas. Drilled and countersunk the scales for the cutler rivets included in the knife kit. The countersink is adjustable. Keep in mind the countersink isn't flat bottomed similar to a brad point bit so don't measure the depth from the outside. Nothing to detract but something to keep in mind.

    Great concept

If you buy several of these over a period of time you will find that the dimeter of the cutter varies from one to the other some over size some under size more than what is the normal industry standard for this type of tool. As long as you plan for this you will have a very useful tool

    simpifier

I've been making knives of various types for about ten years now, mostly for myself and as gifts for family and friends. When making kitchen knives the hard part is usually getting the rivet holes lined up with the slots in the knife blade and then centering a slightly wider hole for the rivet head. This bit simplifies and eases that whole process by cutting all the holes at once. With a drill press everything can be set up once and all holes drilled quickly and easily, without any slop. I wish I had purchased this years ago.
