Great Gear: Issue 100
Before I bought these brass bars from Whiteside, tool setups were slow and tedious. Now, I use them to quickly set my handheld router for accurate plunge cuts.

Could use markings
I have not had the opportunity to use these yet but was disappointed to see that they lacked size markings.
-
Quick and easy
I use these when having to make multiple routing and shaping setups
-
great product for the money
Product is great for router and saw set ups ,saves a lot of time and is dead on
-
A simple tool that comes in very handy.
So far I've used these sizing bars for router and tablesaw setups and checking dado depths.
-
They 're just what needed
Used for set where I need an accurate measurement
-
More Than I Expected
I bought the gages primarily for use in setting up a dado jig; however, I have already fround a couple of other uses. I think there will be many more.

Good is good
These set up bars are great they ensure accuracy, speed up set ups they are great to have and they are 4" long great for router set ups when using large router bits and the opening is big they won't fall thru the opening and brass will not damage your blades or bits in case of accidental contact. Great price.

Beware
I was suprised to find that the bars profile is square. Others that I have used were dimensioned for the bar size in only one direction. (The smaller bars were flat.) You don't have to worry about laying the bars down wrong. But, these square profile bars are a bit harder to stack and keep stacked. There are no dimensions on the bars. And, for the smaller bars, there isn't enough room to write the dimension on the bar either.

Vary Handy Accessory
Very nice idea, a great time saver when you get used to using them instead of trying to measure with a tape. I use these pre-measured blocks for consistant & repeatable known height & depth set up's on the Table Saw, Router & for gauging Dado cut width's after shimming the blade stack

Five 4" long bars
These bars make setup real easy.

Whiteside 5 piece Brass set-up gauges.
Even though the size is obvious I would prefere that the size is marked on each gauge.
-
makes it easy
Makes set up easy. Could use additional sizes
-
Great Set up tool
Makes setting up a saw or router a breeze. I would only ask for more sizes...

Handy lil things
Incredilbly handy, great for setting up bit and blade heights and fence distances on small projects and good for larger ones used in conjunction with 1-2-3 blocks. The only thing that would make them better is if the sizes were marked on the blocks (tho its easy to do yourself with a rotary tool and an etching bit)
