    Excellent first straight bit.

    I'm pretty new to woodworking, and wanted to build a work bench. Following some plans I found online I wanted to route a slot into my bench top for a Kreg Mini Trak so I can run clamps and stop blocks. ran this bit using a Dewalt plunge router setup and made the cut in 2 passes. I used the Kreg edge guide that I use for my circular saw as a guide for my router. I made a test cut on some scrap wood and then went ahead and made my passes. The bit cut through the 3/4" plywood like it was butter and the edges were super clean. Whiteside certainly makes quality router bits that are extremely sharp. I popped the Mini Trak in to test and it was a perfect fit.
