This kit includes 6 partially serrated, 440 stainless steel steak knives that are sharpened to a fine razor-sharp edge and durable enough for daily use. Choose from our extensive selection of wood and man-made materials to create a custom handle for each of your knives.

    well made, very sharp

    I've now done the entire selection of Zhen knives and the steak knife set. They are all incredibly sharp and beautiful. The steak knives are great. They glide through any cut of meat no matter how rare or well done. A few tips you might consider. 1. skip the rivets and go with mosaic pins. They are easier to do and far more attractive. I cut them slightly long with dremel /cutting disk and sand them flush while shaping the handle. 2. epoxy - I use a dark gray 6 minute as it tends to be less visible than clear. 3. a belt sander and some small drum sanders make life much easier. 4. If possible, let your customer judge what feels right... for truly custom fit. 5. Go with very hard wood. I used lignum vitae for all handles. No finishing needed if you sand it w 600 and it's almost indestructible. 6. tape the blade or there will be blood.
