Great addition to my lathe tools
I do quite a large amount of turning for the small woodworking business. I like the versitility of this tool due to the oval shape of the shank of the tool. It allows me to attack the wood in ways not possible with the old rectangular type skew. This tool works really well standing on its edge but if you are not really comfortable with your lathe, I do not recommend it for beginners. I highly recommend this as a great tool for more advanced woodturners.
