Good for the Price
Tired of wrestling with a 50' air hose with a mind of its own, I decided to try this unit, qutie honestly, because of the price point. And, for the price point, I like it. Others have spoken of air leaks using this device, I have none. The hose is a small diameter 1/2" OD hose, but I have had no problems with it and I find it to be easier to deal with when in use than larger hoses. So far, the hose is extending, stopping in place, then retracting as it should. If there is going to be a weak link in the thing over the long haul that will be it. I am basing that on the fact that the mechanics just sound a bit wimpier than most. By far, the worst thing about this device out of the box is the hanging bracket. To extend the hose, one has to be constantly pulling on it. The bracket allows for hanging the device on the wall using two large keyhole slots. Not at all secure. I opted to through bolt the bracket to a piece of MDF then screw the MDF to a 4x4 support post in my shop. I much better way to mount than keyhole slots. One last thing. The hose on the stationary/compressor side is a bit short.

Works wonders!!!!
I have it hooked up between the garage and my workshop.Therefore I have 60 feet of total working space.It's been a great help. Now I don't fight with my lines all the time.

Handy unit
Unit works as stated. Great to have an air hose that isn't wrapped around your ankles while your're working. Only problem was a severe leak inside the case after about 8 months of use. Repaired it with a new o-ring inside on the reel connector. Looked like there was no lubricant on the original and it deteriorated. Word of warning, if repairing watch out for the rewind spring! Was concerned about hose size at first but just got through shooting about 1500 nails with a PC framing gun at 90psi with no problems.

Bought one in December 2010. Used for about 6 months. Blown hose. Stay away from this one.

Not the Greatest
I hooked this up for convenience but the compressor runs very frequently to compensate for the leak at the reel connector. I would not recommend this unit.

Works As Designed
I hooked this up with a QDC at the front of my garage shop. I can now easily get air out to my vehicles, etc. without the hassle of dragging hoses. Reel and hose has held up well.

Just what I needed
When you need an air hose, you do not want to deal with a tangled mess. This hose is self contained and easy extraction and rewinding make it both convienient and practicle.

Good but not great
Overall well made. Only two gripes. 1. Nothing came with to hang on wall. Very large key-hole slots. 2. hose itself is small diameter. But for the price, not bad.

I use my hose real in my woodshop, and it is nice to no longer have a air hose in my floor to trip over.
