Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the exact same species.

A very nice wood to work with. Great appearance.
I'm a novice turner using a home-made lathe and I was looking for interesting woods that turned well. This choice did not disappoint. The surface is very smooth off the table saw and turning is almost as easy as cherry. The price seems good. I've not finished anything yet, but I'm expecting it to look spectacular.
Easy to turn, less chip out on a wood lathe, nice color.
Ordered this to use for a segmented turning, alas the spindle was probably about 85% sapwood which totally defeated the purpose it was intended.
Got a few pieces of exotic woods to learn turning and shaping. This came clean, dressed, straight and true. Couldn't ask for better! All of the wood stock I've purchased from woodcraft has been of the same 'high-quality'. Allows me to experiment a little with various woods usually not readily available at 'Big Box Stores'. Thanks
