The larger body of the SC4 features integral pinions to drive the scroll ring, giving the benefit of being able to use a ball-end hex key for easier operation. This model features an enclosed back with full indexing plate and has pinions driven by a long ball ended hex key to make access easy, even when large workpieces are mounted. The SC4 requires the additional purchase of a threaded insert to fit your lathe’s spindle.
