      Perfect for my small garage shop . no more fine dust haze!

      Took a few hours to assemble. Plugged into a standard outlet in my garage. Connected port on my drum sander (Jet 10-20) and sanded some wood that had previously filled my garage with fine dust and haze in the air. The collector trapped all of the dust, no haze, no dust ... Noise level no more than a regular shop vac. Super happy. 2 micron canister a must.

      Love it!

      Yup, love it. Bought late last year and set up in my 12 x 24 basement garage this summer. Used adaptors to get from Dust collection fittings into PVC. Works great. I have all my machines hooked up and makes for a much cleaner shop environment. I went from a floor full of sawdust in an afternoon, to maybe a dustpan full of sawdust every once in a while when i feel like cleaning up. The differnce is that much! I have it connected to my miter saw, router table, band saw and table saw via PVC and flex hose. Took some time and thought it out. No problems with static electricity. Only cons are minor: remote has to be in direct line of sight to control pad. Sometimes it gets blocked depending on your position in the workshop. No biggie. Also takes about 20-30 seconds to wind down after turning off, again no biggie, it's just audible long after the machine has stopped. Very please overall. Power cord is plenty long enough. No complaints.

      Great upgrade for my shop!

      I replaced an old Delta 700 CFM unit with this one on my installed shop dust collecton system. The Powermatic has plenty of suction to handle any sawdust and chips I create in my shop. I use a 4" hose with a blastgate on one inlet that connects to my fixed duct work (radial arm saw, band saw, sanders, drill press, lathe, chop saw, mortise machine). The other port has blastgate and a 4" hose I use to connect directly to my planer, table saw, router table and jointer. This dust collector and my air filtration machine has virtually eliminated sawdust in my shop and subsequently throughout my house. My shop is located in a dedicated room in the basement of my home. The Powermatic would be a little nicer if the power cord was just a couple of feet longer (why skimp on such a quality machine?) and if it had a better bag attachment system, like a snap ring on a barrel. Love the machine and I would recommend it to my fellow woodworkers.

      Works better than expected!!

      Received my unit last week and it arrived well packed and undamaged. Had the unit together and working in 1 hour (with the help of my wife). Hooked it up to my 13'' Planer and it worked excellent...no wood dust anywhere after sending a large block of mahogany through it. Same for my router table!! Built like a tank. Only thing that I would change is the plastic knobs on the filter and a longer power cord. These issues are very minor. Also be ready to spend a few more dollars on hoses and fittings. Awesome tool!!

      powermatic does it again!

      Great dust collector. Beautiful finish and heavy duty. Didn't make five stars due to the plastic handles and plastic knobs. Also louder than I expected. I like the remote on-off and timer but it does have to be in the line of site to work. Would like to see a hole or a hook to hang or clip the remote this way I don't have to dig it out of a pocket or set it down and possibly loose it. Vary miner I know. Looking forward to less dust in the shop.
