Best little Drawshave I have ever used.

Bought this 4 1/2" blade Drawknife from Pfeil for spoon carving. It worked perfectly. Just a quick strop and hair splitting sharp. I own several Pfeil products so I wasn't worried about the quality . Just it's size. To my relief it is the perfect size for what I do. Spoons, spatulas and the occasional carving knife handle. Going to buy the next size up. Couldn't be happier.

    small draw knife

I use this draw knife on waterfowl sculptures. its thinness is an asset when carving various woods. It is really controllable when used upside down.

    Drawknife review

I purchased this knife to carve medium size wooden vases out of hardwoods. Though I have made numerous wooden vases, I had never used a drawknife before. It took a while to get used to the technique so as not to cut too deep in one pass. The more I have used it the better I like it. It is solid, light weight and comfortable. The knife is only 5 inches long and probably best for small and medium projects or finish work on larger projects. I would recommend it it you are looking for this kind of tool.
