The Kinari or Paring chisel are used to shave off small amounts of material in joinery without using a hammer. They have long handles and thin blades to allow you to get into the smallest openings. Made from laminated Steel, were the cutting edge is hard high carbon steel, laminated onto a softer body. They have the typical hallow ground back of the plane. These planes are constructed with the hybrid socket and tang construction, were the tang extends into the handle.
