    Variable Router Jig

End The Hassle Of Sloppy, Shop-Made Router Jigs

    Woodpeckers OneTIME Tool®

A Router Jig You’ll Turn to Time And Again.
Woodworkers love routers and often pair them with single purpose jigs that are used then tossed in the trash. That’s sad because jigs take time to make (and remake if not exactly right) but are absolutely necessary for many routing operations. You’ll use Woodpeckers new Variable Router Jig over and over again thanks to its adjustment range to a near infinite number of sizes. The rugged, extra heavy-duty aluminum extrusions will last a lifetime and never deflect.

The Variable Router Jig And Router Guide Bushings Are A Perfect Match. You’ll keep this versatile jig alongside your set of router guide bushings. That’s because almost every time you’ll need one, you’ll need the other. They will pair up for routing mortises for joinery and hardware; like hinge and lock mortises. Use the jig for inlay work and to add arresting details to your projects. You’ll grab your Variable Router Jig and guide bushings every time you need a clean, through cut or pocket in a panel. The standard 18” long sides allow about 13” of router cutting. Need more length? Optional 32” long pairs of sides are also available.

Quick, Precision Setups and So Easy To Use. You can assemble the jig in minutes. And once it’s together there’s no need to disassemble because you’ll simply adjust the four sides to new dimensions for your next router operation. To change dimensions loosen the socket head cap screws that clamp the sides together. The supplied ball-tip hex wrench makes it a snap.
To resize the jig to your desired dimension, do a quick calculation of your cut size plus the offset of guide bushing and router bit diameter. Now you can use the laser engraved scales on the jig (in both Imperial 1/32” and 1mm increments) to precisely set the sides. Tighten the socket screws and you’re good to go.

Hold It Right There! Of course you’ll need to hold the jig in place for routing and Woodpeckers Variable Router Jig has you covered. The jig comes with four special, heavy-duty stainless steel clamp brackets. These brackets slip into the channels on the sides of the jig and can be positioned anywhere along the outside edges. They are shaped to keep them and your clamps out of the way of your router’s cutting path.

What are our OneTIME Tools? They’re the tools that our partners at Woodpeckers plan to run once. Often these are tools we ourselves would like but can’t put in full production. The process is simple; they build a couple, take some pictures and open a 10-20 day window for others to jump on the production run. Once they know how many to make, they get them done and move on to something else.

By buying a OneTIME Tool, you will own a limited run precisely machined tool that will make you the envy of all your woodworking friends, and you have a tool that will be used for generations. These tools are proudly made in the USA.
