Yes it truly is 3/4 inch diameter
Bought one of the wood treat cutters at Woodcraft and had some leftover [...] 3/4 inch dowling. It would not fit the thread cutter since is was approximately 1/16 inch oversized. I paid more for the Woodcraft dowling, but it is 3/4" and fit perfectly. I am always willing to pay a little more for quality, and at Woodcraft that has always been the case.
