Wrong size nut
The movement came with a nut that was the incorrect size. Had to use the one from my old movement.

Nice movement, wrong size nut
As others have said, this movement seems well built and is very quiet. My only complaint is the nut that came with the movement was too small for the threaded bushing. The nut got stuck on the bushing after only 4 turns. I had to cut it off with metal shears because the bushing kept spinning while I was trying to remove the frozen nut. The nut from the old movement happened to be the correct size. I reused the old nut and was able to mount the new movement firmly on the clock.

maybe a make it a bit longer but good
very quiet, accurate so far. The sizing for the threaded length is a bit tight.

A Great Replacement
This item is a replacement clock movement for my outdoor garden clock that is approx. 20yrs old. Surprisingly, this is an identical one to the original - same manufacturer name and made in the U.S. Can't get any better than that.

Optional Sec Hand Loose - won't turn
I had a clock movement that I spent several days trying to find replacement hands for...none could be found to fit the round shank of that clock. I found the movements with hands of a different design for attachment at my local Woodcraft store and bought the Optional Second Hand, knowing that the movement would be used in a kitchen clock - a handy place to have a second hand when timing some cooking. After assemblying the replacement movement into the clock, I am very disappointed that I can not get the Second Hand to rotate. It keeps falling to the 6 position, and there are no instuctions if the shaft is to be crimped or expanded to fit into the center. I have tried both, but am not successful in tightening up the hand to hold onto the turning mechanism. In the future, I would only recommend this item if the user does not want to use a Second Hand on the timepiece.
