Marblewood (marmaroxylon racemosum) has heartwood in an orange-yellow color with black wavy streaking that gives it a marble appearance. Grain is interlocked and coarse textured. Turns well, but a sharp edge is recommended. Glues well and is used for cabinet work, inlay and small decorative items, carving, and turnings. South America.
