Whether you’re a hobbyist or a furnituremaker, you’ll be delighted with the results you get with this all natural wood veneer by Sauers and Company. Mappa Burl has wonderful color combination that often varies from light tan to a beautiful gold with dark red/brown burl pockets. Native to Western Europe, Mappa is the only species of poplar that develops this rare type of burl formation. Mappa has a fine texture with closed pores, however, the open burl pockets require filling. A grain filler may be necessary to level-out any voids in the burl pockets. These voids are not imperfections but instead are simply the way nature makes this type of burl. Mappa Burl readily accepts both stains and finishes. These sequence cut, four-way matched veneers are perfect for many common projects. The four- way match allows them to be used end to end for projects such as drawer fronts, side by side for panels, and end to end and side by side for larger projects.

Features:

  • Four-way matched real wood veneer
  • Premium figured wood
  • Sequence matched
  • May be used end to end for projects such as drawer fronts, side by side for panels, and end to end and side by side for larger projects
