This is the Kreg Jig to buy if need one.

If you want to buy a pocket hole jig, this is the one to get. I built the cabinet that comes with the free plans they give you and it is very nice. The jig mounts to the cabinet and stores your accessories. It's very easy to use. I also colored in the notches on mine with a plaster patch stick then sealed it with clear coat. The notches and numbers on the one I bought were blue and hard to read, but they are very easy to read now that I colored them in.

    Quick, efficient

Very useful. Quick and easy to use and makes strong joints of various types. I use this on the job to make a living where there is no room for ill-designed, flimsy or sloppy equipment. I only buy tools if they make me more efficient and make it easier to make a quality finished product. Kreg did a great job with all aspects of this tool and it's components.

    Great jig and system

I bought this jig to build frames for stage props. It's now the most used jig in my shop. I have used it for building jigs and benches for my shop, furniture and other projects. Fast and simple set-up. Joints are strong. I mount the jig on my bench or portable work stand with a c-clamp and go for it. Works with plywood, particle board and about everything else I work with. DVD included was well done and very useful.

    Blessed invention quick and strong.

I think is a great tool for an affordable price that everyone that works with wood should have in the shop. Bad about it? Honestly very little. I just filed out the pocket hole of the jig it self because there was a little error in the edge shape of the hole template. That little edge could probably get the drill bit doll while spinning against that sharp edge. I inspect the rotation first with my hand and I found that wasn't right. I fixed it smoothing the sharp edge and after that it was completely smooth for the drill bit to spin free and fit just perfect.

Just what I have been looking for!

I found the product easy to use...I practiced on a few scrap pieces to be sure I knew what to do. The DVD was very good for instruction and easy to follow. I struggled with drilling pocket screw holes on my bench top drill press and finally gave up. I mounted the jig on a 1x6 (so it is portable) and clamp it to my work bench or Workmate . I would definitely recommend it to a woodworker who wants to utilize pocket hole drilling and screws.

    Fine Tool

I wish I had bought this a long time ago. It saves time & money. It is probably the easiest tool to use I've ever bought. Only trick is using the correct screw.

    Very helpful tool

Makes very strong, tight, professional appearing joints. Fairly easy to set up and use. I used the set on one medium complexity project so far and it worked as shown in advertisements. Priced rather high for its complexity and contruction materials, but Woodcraft had a good deal for the set with the extra bit. That bit costs about $20 when it eventually wears out. The Kreg screws are about twice the price of comparable phillips head crews. They do work better as they do not strip easily. Some applications worked adequately with standard crews. I would purchase another set if Kreg came out with a smaller set for small projects as this set will only work with medium to large materials.

    Worth the money...

I've only used it on a "test run," but it does appear to have been a worthwhile addition to my tool bin...

    Great system

When using it in softwood be careful not to over-torque the drill when installing the screws. In the beginning I split a few 2-bys this way. Now I set the torque on the drill way down. I don't have the Kreg face clamp but I can see where it would be handy because it is hard to keep the joining pieces together when screwing and you can end up with them out of alignment. It is very quick for face frame joinery. I haven't used it for anything else yet.

    This is a awesome tool!

Ease of use. Saves time over biscuit joining.
