Getting a "Snug" fit
I experienced the same problem as one of the other users using the recommended 1/2" bit with 3/4" bushing and the result was a lose fit. I then tried again using the 1/2" bit with a 51/64" bushing and the fit is perfect! The 51/64" bushing is a part of the WoodRiver - 10 Piece Router Bushing Set (Model SBI-55C) sold by Woodcraft.

Template Works As Expected
Contrary to the other review on this site, the template worked perfectly for me. I used a 3/8" bit in my plunge router with a 1/8" offset template bushing (first). I then increased the busing size to build up 1" edge in my table saw side feed table (Unisaw/Biesmeyer). Once I finished routing, I cut the remaining material away with a jig saw and dropped my Jessem RouterLift in. Perfect fit -- no issues -- problem solved.

Result was just a little too loose
Used this as a template, but the result did not leave a good fit.
