General Finishes® High Performance polyurethane finishes are a unique hybrid of urethane and acrylic technology. The specialized urethane modification provides the superior toughness, durability, and water resistance necessary for high wear surfaces such as tables and cabinets. HP (High Performance) is formulated to resist foaming, prevent sagging and resist running like ordinary water based finishes. This finish contains all the consumer-friendly characteristics of a PolyAcrylic Blend including being non-yellowing and offering easy water cleanup. In addition, HP is stabilized with UV absorbers to maximize its performance and afford protection to the stains, paints, and wood underneath. High Performance is a fast drying, low odor, non-flammable alternative to conventional lacquers. It is suitable for interior woodwork, case goods, furniture, and cabinets. The free dry time is only 15 minutes with 2-4 hours between coats, which means you can finish a project in short order.

Excellent Product
This topcoat was very easy to apply and the flat finish was just beautiful. I applied 3 coats and it created a durable and professional finish. It dried amazingly fast, only took about 5 minutes between coats. Cleanup was quick. Will definately use again.

My search is over
I sprayed this finish straight out of the can with a 1.4 needle hvlp gun and it is the best finish I've used so far. Goes on really smooth, levels out nice, and doesn't run if sprayed on vertical surfaces. I was able to lay down a finish that I'm extremely happy with on some hard maple for a table top. The finish seems very durable. I've used some other Gen fin WB Polys before, but I prefer this Flat or Matte finish. It doesn't shine, gives a good amount of grain pop, and very nice to the touch. Now if only I can figure out how to get a gallon or so of this stuff.
