Paint and stain just about anything using the HOMERIGHT® Finish Max HVLP Sprayer. We say anything because we sprayed undiluted chalk paint, and while we can’t recommend you do that, the sprayer does have the power to do it. The Finish Max will spray most solvent (except lacquer and conversion varnish*) or water-based products – latex paint, milk paint, chalk paint, furniture paint, stains and finishes. Features include precision volume control and an adjustable spray pattern, plus it comes with a viscosity cup, cleaning brush and the best instructions we’ve seen for getting the most from your sprayer. It’s easy to set up, use and clean, and it comes with a manufacturer’s Two-Year Warranty. If you are painting furniture, we recommend using the HOMERIGHT Large Spray Shelter (162467); for smaller accessories use the Small Spray Shelter (162466).

Features:

• Precision volume control

• Adjustable spray patterns

• Spray both solvent- and water-based products

• Great for furniture, cabinets and crafts

*Note: The Finish Max will not hold up to the harsh chemicals required for clean up when using Lacquers as well as most conversion varnishes utilizing xylene or toluene.

For me, this thing is great!

First off, I am not a professional woodworker, I'm a hobbyist. I build furniture, and turn bowls for personal use or gifts. For years I've been applying finish to my furniture and turnings by hand, either wiping or brushing, and I've never been totally happy with the results. No matter how much I feather, there are always brush marks in the dried finish. I've always wanted an HVLP, but don't have the room or use for a compressor and sprayer system. So, this portable sprayer was just what I needed. I have used it for some furniture, and a few turnings, and I couldn't be happier with the results. When used per the instructions, the finish I have gotten using General Finishes Hi Performance poly have been excellent; smooth, no streaks or brush marks. And, it's simple to use! I didn't have to thin the Hi Perf at all, it sprayed it smooth and even. It seems to handle thicker viscosity finishes like Hi Perf with no issues (in fact the literature even says it works best with these types of finishes). I'm looking forward to running some GF milk paint through it soon, but all in all I am really pleased with this unit.
