Details

(Enterolobium cyclocarpum) Reddish-brown, lightweight (density 0.34–0.6 g/cm³) and water-resistant. Typically used to make items such as doors, windows, furniture, cabinets, and for shipbuilding. Guanacaste trees are found in Mexico and Central America and are especially abundant in the Guanacaste province of Costa Rica (also their national tree). Grows easily from seed and is one of the largest, shadiest and longest lasting trees reaching heights of up to 40 meters (approx. 131 ft.) with a trunk measuring more than 3.5 meters (approx. 11 ft.) in diameter.

Other common names: Elephant Ear Tree, Monkey Ear, Ear Pod Tree, Parota and Orejon (Spanish) and Conacaste (El Salvador).

Each piece is unique. Ideal for tables, headboards, bar tops and other large furniture pieces.

  • Nominal Size: 1-7/8" x 34" x 10'
