This hardware kit is what you need to build one rocker. You will need to drill a 1-1/8" hole for the bearings to push into. We highly recommend using nothing but hardwoods. The bolts, nuts and washers are 3/8". The screws are #6 square recess drive. This produces the same simple arrangement as used by the chair manufacturers.
About the bearings: These bearings are made by the same American manufacturer that has been making bearings for glider rockers since the rockers were invented. They are a low speed bearing made of steel construction throughout. They have a light zinc finish and are lightly greased internally when assembled. The metal shield prevents dusts and contaminants from easily entering the bearing. The bore is smooth and fits a standard 3/8" bolt perfectly. This allows you to use any length bolt you need to build or repair your rocker. Includes 8 bearings with bolts and screws.
