    hard to write with

This is a really beautiful kit. the detail is excellent. I have made 2 with the thin red line blank as gifts to firefighter friends. my issue is that the refill only sticks out a short way so to write you have to have the pen almost vertical. I tried many things to make it project farther but I think the tube is a fraction too long. next time I make one I am going to mill it past the normal end of tube by a small amount.

    Firemen's pen

Just a wonderful pen. Goes together smoothly, and is really a unique pen. People love it.

    Nice kit

Made this kit as a birthday gift for my brother. I used the stars and wavy stripes acrylic blank, came out looking amazing. I wish I could post a customer photo.

    Not the most comfortable, BUT

This is the best themed pen I have seen. I simply cannot keep them.

    Awesome

Not the most comfortable to write with, but I wanted one for myself (30 yr volunteer FF/EMT). Wound up having to sell it. I described it to a couple of customers at our dog boarding kennel and have orders for 3 more. The biggest challenge is finding the right blank. With departments switching back to wood ladders (they don't conduct electricity and can be repaired) I am hoping a maple wood blank strikes a cord.

    Fireman pen

I have made a few of these and they are wonderful! Even sold a couple and gave a couple to firemen friends for their B-days. Being a retired fireguy myself, I need to purchase a couple more so that I can save one for myself. Look great, work great. Just live the lever action pens.
