Nice selection!
I bought 3 boxes for a wall art piece I am working on. Got a really nice selection of long blanks about 1x1 and 2x2, plus some larger blocks and one giant plank of padauk. I'm not super familiar with types of exotic woods but I was pretty happy with the variety. Only a handful of small pieces looked somewhat ordinary. Lots were heavily wax coated. Spent all day cutting these into random slices and lengths and then some work on the belt sander. I think it's going to look pretty awesome when assembled and finished.

Christmas finally came!
I received my grab box yesterday. I am very happy and all exotic woods. There are two spindle turning blanks, one is purpleheart and the other Brazilian cherry. A number of cutoffs from 1/2 inch thick to 3/4 inch thick. They are anywhere from 1 inch wide to about 12 inches wide. The other cutoffs are Bubinga, marblewood, monkeypod, and a couple others that I’m not sure about. Very happy with the selections.

Ash is not an exotic
I have bought one or two of these years ago and they were OK. A little strange wood to turn into Christmas ornaments or whatnots. Ths box bought at the store yesterday is filled with one piece of end cut dark exotic something, and the rest of the box is filled with ash, slightly curly maple pen blanks, and other pretty boring white domestic woods. For this much money it will be awhile before I trust my luck again .

Not as advertised DO NOT BUY
Half the box was black walnut which is domestic and 1/4 of the box is quartersawn white oak another domestic. DO NOT BUY.

Not what is advertised
Has some good exotics, but half the box was Black walnut and Curly Maple which are domestics and I can pick up off the floor at work.

Not exactly what I was expecting
There wasn't as much variety as I was expecting. Probably 65% was Spanish Cedar which isn't the most interesting of exotics. The rest was a variety of yellowheart, purpleheard, bubinga, cocobolo, etc. A couple were cut offs from the ends of boards. And there were two thin pieces that were extremely cupped which I will be hard pressed to find a use for. Might be worth a buy if it was $10 cheaper or had more usable pieces.

Get 2... Seriously, just get 2 now!
When the description said, "Don't dismiss this as just any assortment box – this is probably the best value in wood you will find." They said it perfectly! I ordered 2 of these figuring I was going to make some rings and ornaments. They filled both boxes to the top. I got a bunch of flat wood, so I am going to try my hand at segment work. I got a bunch of 1.5x1.5 and 2x2's, all about 10" long. That's what I will be using for the rings and ornaments. I even got a small bowl blank. If that wasn't enough... tons of pen blanks. If I added up the value of just the pen blanks it would be worth it. When the wife allows me to place another order, this will be on it.
