The Wixey™ WL133 Drill Press Laser projects a set of bright crosshairs onto your drill press table precisely where the drill bit center will contact your workpiece. This allows you to instantly position and clamp your workpiece in place so that the hole is drilled exactly where you want it. The laser even works with large diameter bits that are difficult to position without repeated test positioning. The Drill Press Laser mounts to most drill presses and is easily adjusted to align the crosshairs with the center of your drill chuck. The crosshairs will stay on center, even when changing your drill press table height and regardless of your workpiece thickness. Rugged steel construction stands up to normal vibration. Requires two AA batteries, which are not included.

    Why only 3 stars?

    Great addition to the drill press. Definitely beats eyeballing the entry point of a drill bit. Easy to set up and use. Don't think that since laser is in its name, you're going to achieve accuracy of millionths of an inch - it's still just a drill press you're using. But it is a great aid in placing your holes and increasing the accuracy of location. This was a good buy.

    Works good

    Assembly is fast and can be adjusted to fit any size drill press. It isn't going to make you able to hit whole locations with in microns, but it definitely beats visually aligning is spinning drill bit with a mark on the work piece. I've been very pleased with mine. Gives a nice crisp laser line.

    Not accurate, gets blocked by fence

    I thought this laser would increase the functionality and accuracy of my drill press, but I was wrong. While it's very easy to install, it was difficult to get the cross-hairs accurately aligned, and then to get them to stay there. If you have a fence on your drill press, as I do, the fence partially blocks the lines and makes them difficult to see. All in all, I found the entire setup cumbersome and difficult to use and not very accurate, so I ended up sending it back. Kudos to Woodcraft for making the return effortless.
