    Create strong, accurate wood joints of virtually any configuration and size. Dowelmax joint configurations and sizes can be single, double and triple row, flush, offset, mitre, and face joints, from 1" x 1" to 1" x 12" and from 2" x 2" to 4" x 12".

    The patented design coupled with rigorously maintained manufacturing tolerances of +/-.001 inch for the 36 aluminum, brass and steel components making up the kit ensures that the Dowelmax is accurate and repeatable from workpiece to workpiece and through any adjustment.

    The Dowelmax Kit is a professional quality, precision engineered joining system that is intended to last a lifetime.

    The Dowelmax Kit weighs 3.20 lbs and is 3.5" x 3.5" x 2.75". The main body of the jig is polished 6160 aluminum and the drill guide material is carbo-nitride hardened (60 Rockwell @ .015" deep) and black oxide coated steel.

      worth it

      When you buy both these 1/4" adapters as well as the DowelMax itself, you've spent quite a chunk of change. I would do it again in less than a heartbeat. Personally I love the ease and speed that this system gives. Incredibly accurate. For strength, it moved me away from biscuits and I doubt I'll ever use mortise and tenon. This system is the best IMO.
