The Diamond Wave Curved Edge Sharpener provides radii from .0625" tapering to 1.000" which accommodate any turning or carving gouge. At 10" in length, this sharpener enables a much longer sharpening strokes than traditional slips stones. Spend less time sharpening and get a better edge, faster than ever before! Return Information
Returns must be requested within 60 days of purchase. If you have a return, RGA must be requested before return is made. Product must be in original packaging, return will be subject to a 15% restock fee and customer is responsible for return shipping. If a product is received without RGA, shipment can be refused. Not as effective as I had hoped
I received this diamond 'wave" honer as a gift, and was eager to put it to use. What I found is that it takes some practice in locating the right area of the wave shape to accommodate the sweep and size of the gouge. Light stroking with a little water for lubricant will give it a new edge, but I often found that the outside corners of the gouge needed extra attention. By the time I addressed those corners, I found that I really didn't save much, if any, time over using the traditional "rocking" method over a flat diamond stone or water stone. Maybe I need to practice more to get the hang of it.
