Failed
First the gage - failed the first time I tried to use it. There is no threaded insert for the brass locking screw. The screw is install directly into the wooden face. It strip with almost no pressure/torque. Next customer service - Ina word outstanding!! Call WC and was immediately credited for the purchase price, no questions asked.

Mortising Gauge
This is a fine mortising gauge for the casual woodworker. Well made and precise. The only drawback I saw was that the gauge face is a little small, making it a little difficult to score the wood while keeping the face square.

Really nice!
Primary use is for marking stock material for inletting gunstock blanks - works great every time!

"Feels good in the hand"
Great for using as intended - transferring marks for mortise & tenon cuts, and dado widths.
