Our selection of unbacked wood veneer packs by Sauers and Company® allows you to create inspiring works of art with your woodworking project. This unique 1/16" thick veneer was specially cut to appeal to scroll sawers, but works equally as well with many laser cutting systems on the market. Each sheet measures 24" in length and 4-1/2" to 7-1/2" in width. The convenient 3 square foot packs are the perfect size for marquetry, inlay repair, accents on furniture and any other small jobs around the shop. In addition, we have found they make great additions to cutting boards and other craft projects. Cherry is a warm pinkish to red toned wood that ages to a nice reddish brown color. It is a hardwood that is easy to work with and strong, with a satiny texture and tight uniform grain. Another common grain characteristic is slight figure or flashing. This veneer will accept stains and finishes well but is usually finished with a clear coat that preserves the warmth and beauty of the wood’s natural color.
