Building crsdle
Using dowels for building cradle. Worked out great.

Project delayed
The dowels varied from cherry colors to plain white and did not take a finish well. Finally used heavy color (Minwax Gunstock) to develop something akin to the cherry look, then had to thin the Gunstock color on the ajoining cherry piece. Got a better match on another piece using oak dowels from local store.
