      Champion generator model #41135

Used 2 times worked fine. Needed it the 3rd. Time Filled it with gas after getting it in my deck. Before I tried to pull start it I noticed gas on my deck board. Checked it out it was leaking gas from the carburetor Needless to say I lost power and had no generator. Would never buy one of their products again

      Powerful...but

Initially, we were deeply satisfied with this generator. We purchased it to primarily operate a deep well pump and as backup to a 3200 sq. ft. off-grid solar home. At first,it was easy to start, economical on gas, and relatively quiet--then things quickly soured. First the internal hardware of the pull start system shattered. Replacing it proved inadequate. In only a few weeks time, the generator would only start after multiple hard pulls, then not at all. It is still under warranty, and I am in communication with the manufacturer. But given how little demand we placed on this generator, compared to our hope that it would last for some time, I would not buy another Champion. Regular required maintenance nothwithstanding, it simply broke down too soon after purchase, leaving us in a real bind.
