just recieved my bevel gauge, cutting gauge & pipe clamp order. i bought 4 pipe clamps to reduce the price from $15.99 to $13.72 ea. imagine my surprise when i see practically identical clamps at a local big name chain for $12.98. i must be missing something. i'm just getting started and haven't used any of these items yet......
Best pipe clamps that I have found
These clamps performed as stated. The extra height and wide bases of the clamps make things easier. They were very easy to set up and will purchase more.
Bessey H series clamps are good to go!
An excellent product. Durable, easy to set up and reliable. These clamps are well constructed and I especially appreciate the fact that they already come with rubber covers which help keep your wood from being damaged in the assembly process. Excellent clearance and plenty of surface space to get a good tight clamp.
Stable design and good price!
I owned the old pony clamps years ago, these clamps in comparison are much better because of the stability with the builtin feet. Really nice when they are on sale too!
Price and Quality are outstanding thank you WOODCRAFT
i wold buy this product again
Bought some at a big box store and took them back. Found these on sale and have been happy with them. There are better clamps out there but not anywhere near this price.
Bessey H-series Pipe Clamp Fixtures 3/4"
length is fully customizable by adding pipe nipples or sections built-in stand keeps clamp stable leaving hands free to adjust workpiece and tighten clamp inexpensive (if you can find used pipe for the right price)
The clamp feet allow you to elevate your work off the workbench.
These clamps worked smoothly and robustly. Make sure the 3/4" pipe is robust enough or it will bend. Go with 3/4" thick rod to minimize deflections.
Check the hole size.
Gearing up to make my own kitchen cabinets, I've been acquiring these clamps. I like the ease of use; but one I acquired a few months ago had to be ground out with a drill press in order to work better. Compared to all other pipe clamps, these seem to be the best. Depth of grip; pads; stability; machining of the screw - all seem to be really nice. I paint them green because I don't care for the red color.
Very durable and strong.
Excelent to use for the base, give stability to clamp big or littles pieces.
I will buy more of these
Great for bread boards and table tops
These clamps are made in China and while they appear to be durable they do not have the fine feel of a made in USA Jorgensen Pony clamp. However they are not as frustrating to use as the Jogensen or virtually any other pipe clamp as the legs do stabilize the clamps and elevate them so you can turn the handle or fit cauls under your work. They are not as full featured as those of another retailer whose name I'm apparently not supposed to mention which not only came first but seem better thought out. One minor annoyance is that the legs do not hook over a 2x4 for hanging. If they were a quarter of an inch longer I think they would. I found them an improvement over the standard pipe clamp, but not as good as they could be, especially at the regular price.
