Our 2½˝ Brass Fish Scaler is a traditional Japanese design that has been in use for centuries. It is made from brass to avoid imparting flavor to the fish and will not corrode. This design allows rapid removal of fish scales with out damaging the underlying flesh. It is a great improvement over the usual knife blade. The handle is made from Beech Wood with a brass ferrule. The blade is 2½˝ x 1¼˝ and overall length is 8˝. Suitable for larger fish.
