Our wide variety of Water Stone Slips are used for sharpening gouges and other shaped edges. Their shapes can be easily modified by rubbing on #120 grit silicon carbide sandpaper to fit your particular needs. They are manufactured from quality materials and to the same high standards as are our Bench Stones. They will easily outperform any oil stone slip.
Our #4000 Conical Slip Water Stone, also called a "gouge stone", is invaluable for removing scratches from coarser stones and establishing a wire edge while sharpening incannel gouges and large size outcannel gouges. Size: 6˝ x 2˝ tapering to 1/2˝.
