Learn the basics of using power tools for woodworking. You'll learn about the router, drill press, dovetail jigs, jointer, planer, band saw, and more as you create a tool box/garden tote/candle box.

Get ready for spring gardening by creating your own raised garden planter box. Perfect for a deck or balcony. Constructed from cedar and fir, the box stands 28" tall, 36Lx 14W. 12" deep planter box. Students will learn to cut a groove on the router table, use the jointer, planer, miter saw, table saw, pocket hole jig and plenty of hand tools. Required, safety eye and ear protection and close toed shoes and dust mask.

If you're like me, your hand tools are lying all over your shop and you can never find a tool when you need it. In this class we're going to help you fix that by using hand tools to make your hand tools a home. We will be building a classic Dutch tool chest. The chest is modeled after the Dutch Tool Chest by Christopher Schwartz. The chest will be made from Poplar and will include carrying handles, hinged lid. A variety of joints including dovetails, miters, dados, etc..., will be used in the construction of the chest. This is a solid chest, meant to last a lifetime and beyond. Tuition Notes: A Material Fee Of $250 Is Required For This Class Tools Required: Safety Gear (safety Glasses, Ear Protection, Dust Protection, Closed-toe Shoes)
