Minimum Age 18. In this class you'll take cutting boards to the next level. We'll create an end-grain board with both juice grooves and routed hand holds. We'll also demonstrate how to create a custom juice groove jig for making cutting boards in your own shop!

Ray will focus on the fingernail bowl gouge as the primary tool and will teach you how to complete your piece with a perfect bottom. He will also explain the various methods for mounting your blank on the lathe and discuss wall thickness, design and turning speed.
Learn to make a cutting board using various species of wood and machines. You will use the miter saw, jointer, planer, table saw, and orbital sander. Sizes vary, but they are always beautiful!

Whether you are a new user or wondering if this is the right tool for your shop, this class will explore the basic workflow and operation of the Shaper. We’ll cover the basics of the machine itself from scan and design to cut. There will be an opportunity for each student to make a cut on the Shaper. Come and experience the many things you can do with this machine. Previous router experience required.
This class will show how you can sharpen your shop tools using various methods including Tormek, water stones and oil stones. Please bring two dull tools to the class and they will leave with a razor sharp edge.

Minimum age 18. Building a box for the storage of keepsakes or mementos. In this class you will seal the box interior using a locking miter joint; line the box, and properly fit the lid on the box. We discuss modifications to adopt to various uses and differing interior treatments like flocking.

It can quickly transform to a four-person square table by swinging the rear legs on their wooden hinges to support the folding leaf. Learn how to cut your drawer fronts out of the apron, dovetail and add cockbead to give them a distinct look and fit them with a hand plane. Minimum Age 18. This class will unravel the secrets of base cabinet construction. It will include design, face frame versus frameless construction and adding drawers and doors. During the class, students will collectively make one base cabinet from scratch.
Utilizing spindle turning and wood holding techniques and your own imagination, create a delicate hollow tree ornament out of solid hardwood, just in time for the holidays. These make beautiful gifts for others, or great family keepsakes for yourself.
Minimum age 18. Take your Pyrography skills to the next level with artist Amy Herringshaw. In this class Amy will teach you the skill of line quality and control, and the application of shading using different pen tips. With these skills students will be able to burn realistic projects creating a still life scene. All supplies are included however, students are welcome to bring their own equipment if they prefer.
