Turn for Troops Volunteers Create Enough Wood Pens to Pass 200,000 Mark
Despite the limitations of sponsoring a nationwide
event during the coronavirus pandemic, Turn for Troops volunteers and Woodcraft store
personnel rallied in 2020 to turn enough wooden pens for military personnel to comfortably pass
the 200,000 overall mark.

Woodcraft Seeks Volunteers to Turn Pens for Troops
Woodcraft will sponsor its 17th Turn for Troops National Turn-a-Thon on November 7 and 8 and is asking volunteers to continue supporting those on active military duty or recovering from injuries by making handcrafted wood pens – at either a retail store event or at home for submission to Woodcraft.
In 2019, volunteers turned 15,385 one-of-a-kind pens for a 16-year
total of 190,609 pens. Woodcraft’s goal this year is at least 200,000 pens and
hopefully many more.

Woodcraft 2019 Turn for Troops Program Produces Over 15,000 Handcrafted Pens for Military Personnel
Volunteers of all ages and skill levels handcrafted 15,385 unique wood pens in 2019 for the Woodcraft Turn for Troops program that sends the pens to military personnel on active duty or recovering from injuries. The total of pens turned since this program began 16 years ago is 190,609.

Woodcraft Stores to Host Turn for Troops National Turn-a-Thon
Woodcraft is preparing for its 16th Turn for Troops National Turn-a-Thon on November 9 and 10, 2019. Woodcraft retail stores throughout the US will host Turn-a-Thons and invite volunteers to come and make unique gifts for military personnel on active duty and recovering in rehabilitation facilities.
