The Patriot Woodworker organization hopes to raise $2,000 to provide gifts and a Christmas meal for a wounded Marine and his family, with the help of Woodcraft and two other national sponsors.Each Christmas season, The Patriot Woodworker adopts a family through Operation Ward 57, a nonprofit organization that supports wounded, injured and ill service members, veterans and their caregivers with outreach programs. Patriot Woodworker then sells raffle tickets to raise money for the family gifts, and for participants of the raffle to have a chance to win prizes donated by national sponsors.

Woodcraft will sponsor its 17th Turn for Troops National Turn-a-Thon on November 7 and 8 and is asking volunteers to continue supporting those on active military duty or recovering from injuries by making handcrafted wood pens – at either a retail store event or at home for submission to Woodcraft.
In 2019, volunteers turned 15,385 one-of-a-kind pens for a 16-year
total of 190,609 pens. Woodcraft’s goal this year is at least 200,000 pens and
hopefully many more.
Woodcraft has entered the saw blade manufacturing market with six new WoodRiver® products. Director of Product Development Darin Lawrence and Product Development Manager Charles Wolfe said, “The main focus when developing these products was to provide the best quality possible at a price that could beat anyone else in the market. We absolutely hit that with our new saw blades.”
In an effort to balance the safety and health of its employees during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with the financial well-being of the company, Woodcraft took steps recently to allow some of the corporate office staff the option of working from home. We polled some of our remote workers for their best tips for creating a successful work/life balance and we’d like to share those with others who may be navigating this new territory along with us.
Volunteers of all ages and skill levels handcrafted 15,385 unique wood pens in 2019 for the Woodcraft Turn for Troops program that sends the pens to military personnel on active duty or recovering from injuries. The total of pens turned since this program began 16 years ago is 190,609.

Today’s Homeowner and Woodcraft teamed up to make one person’s Christmas a whole lot brighter this year with their “Tools Under My Tree Giveaway.” Sonya Bell of Vacaville, California, was randomly selected from more than 8,000 eligible entries to receive a $1,000 gift card from the nation’s oldest and largest supplier of woodworking tools, supplies and plans, Woodcraft.
In spite of the need for anonymity, The Patriot Woodworker organization substantially exceeded its $1,500 fundraising goal to provide a Merry Christmas for a Wounded Warrior and his family.
