Woodcraft and the Instructables are looking for a lot of great tables and desks – project entries for the Tables & Desks Contest now underway on Instructables.com through Jan. 2, 2017. Thirty-eight winners will receive prizes, tools from the Woodcraft line, along with Instructables prize packs.

Instructables – described as The World’s Biggest Show and Tell – attracts 30 million plus viewers each month to its web-based documentation platform that allows passionate creators to share what they do and how they do it, as well as learn from and collaborate with others. Besides offering a place to showcase and store new projects, Instructables also sponsors ongoing competitions, which is what drew Woodcraft to the site last year.

“Woodcraft sponsored two Instructables contests in late 2015 and early 2016, and was pleased with this entry into a diverse, very creative medium that embraces a wide range of talent,” Woodcraft vice president Vince Grlovich said. “We will continue to support this creative community through sponsorship of contests in hopes of introducing more young makers to our quality line of products and more of our customers to this creative outlet.”

Instructions for entering the Tables and Desks competition are available at www.instructables.com/contest/tablesdesks2016. Once entered, each table and desk will appear on Instructables.com, and members may vote for any entry. Once the contest is closed, a panel of judges, including Instructables staff members and members of the Instructables community, will rate the finalists. The averages of the ratings will determine the winners.
