Woodcraft Encourages Makers to Enter Reclaimed Contest on Instructables.com

Old furniture, stereos, carpet and many more household items may hold the key to a project you could enter in the Reclaimed Contest on Instructables.com. Woodcraft is sponsoring the competition that opened Oct. 2 and will continue through Nov. 27, 2017.

Rather than create an entry using new materials, this contest encourages reclaiming materials from existing items to make something brand-new – with the possibility of winning a prize.

Contest advice on Instructables.com suggests: “Tear out all the wood, plastic, metal, fabric and more from your old and failed projects. It’s time to see what new creation emerges from these reclaimed materials for a chance to win a selection of tools from Woodcraft.”
